Our Doctor
Dr. Jonathan M Shivers
Veterinarian & Practice Owner
Dr. Shivers has loved veterinary medicine from the very beginning. Growing up in Miami, he cared for dogs, cats, orphaned squirrels, turtles, and hermit crabs. After getting his veterinary degree from the University of Florida, he began practicing in Jacksonville, FL. A desire to be closer to family and great fishing led him to Ft. Myers and Indian Creek.
Dr. Shivers believes in having a high-quality, low-stress hospital that clients and their pets feel good about visiting. His favorite part of his job is interacting with our clients and pets. Dr. Shivers loves getting a sick pet back on its feet and playing at home again. He enjoys saltwater fishing, traveling, diving, and cooking in his spare time. Dr. Shivers has a Catahoula hound dog named Remy. He is happy to be here, where he can enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, beautiful gulf waters, and friendly residents of Ft. Myers.

Alison
Veterinary Assistant
Alison, a native of Illinois, recently moved to Florida in 2022. Her lifelong love for animals led her to discover her true calling when she joined us at Indian Creek Pet Hospital. She is currently planning to pursue her education to become a CVT, and her love of animals continues into her personal life. Outside of her work, Alison enjoys spending time with her beloved pets, Pepperoni and Sausage, and enjoys binge-watching TV or socializing with friends in her spare time.
Caroline
Veterinary Surgical Assistant
Caroline is originally from New Jersey but moved to Florida in 2019. She attended Animal Behavior College in 2016 and has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2016 as well. She first realized her love for animal care in the first grade when all she watched was Animal Planet. When she was younger would also bandage her “injured” stuffed animals for practice. She has two cats at home: thirteen-year-old Manson and two-year-old Bundi. When she’s not at work, she enjoys cuddling with her cats and reading.

She’s always loved animals, but she wondered if it was something she wanted to pursue as a career. However, after working and helping the animals, she’s decided it’s been the best decision ever. In her spare time, Alexis likes to spend time with her two cats, Marlin and Mako. She also enjoys being outdoors and trying new things!
Eric
Veterinary Surgical Assistant

He has a BS in biology from Emory University and is pursuing his associate’s in veterinary technology from St. Petersburg College to become a certified technician. He held a six-week internship at C.R.O.W. (The Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife) in Sanibel and shadowed doctors at ICPH and Coral vet clinic while still in college. Eric chose to work in the veterinary field because he finds it fulfilling to see how happy a healthy pet can make its owner. He also takes pride in ensuring every process that goes into making your pet healthy goes as smoothly as possible with as little stress as possible for your pet. When Eric isn’t working, he enjoys walking in the local parks, playing Pokemon GO, and watching anime curled up with his dog Emi.
Frank
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Frank is originally from Tampa, FL. He went to Cape Coral Technical College, where he graduated with his CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant).
